Ingredients

  • 250g QBB

  • 1/2 tsp fine salt

  • 160g caster sugar

  • 300g plain flour

  • 50g fine semolina

  • 3/4 tsp cardamom powder

  • 1 tsp fennel, pounded coarsely

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat oven to 150 C.

  2. 2. Cream the QBB and sugar till fluffy and light.

  3. 3. Add in the flour, semolina and cardamom powder. Combine well into a smooth dough.

  4. 4. Divide dough into 50 pieces. Roll into balls.

  5. 5. Place on a baking tray lined with non-stick paper.

  6. 6. Press an almond into each dough ball.

  7. 7. Bake for 30 minutes or until lightly brown.

  8. 8. Cool the cookies on a wire rack before storing in an airtight container.
