Ghee-rang Rice

Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons QBB Ghee

  • Spice ‘empat sekawan’

  • 2 onions sliced

  • 1 inch ginger

  • 1 can of evaporated milk

  • 4 cups basmathi rice

  • 5 cups of water

  • Salt (to taste)

  • Food Dyes (Blue, Green, Red)

Instructions

  1. 1. Saute QBB with onion slices, 4 cloves and ginger until fragrant

  2. 2. Add water, liquid milk & salt. Stir well

  3. 3. Add basmathi rice, mix & cook rice as usual

  4. 4. After cooking, dip the skewers in the dye & poke into the rice (repeat for all 3 colors)

  5. 5. Cover & leave for 10 minutes

  6. 6. Then, mix the rice & garnish with fried onions. The combination goes well with Rose Chicken
