Ingredients

  • 240 gm Flour

  • 2 3/4 teaspoons Baking powder

  • 6 teaspoons Almond powder

  • 160 gm Castor sugar

  • 175 gm QBB

  • 3 Eggs

  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla essence

  • 80 gm Chopped prune

  • 125 ml Evaporated milk

Instructions

  1. 1. Beat in a large mixing bowl, QBB, sugar, eggs and vanilla essence till mixture turns light and creamy.

  2. 2. Combine flour, baking powder, almond powder and chopped prunes. Mix well.

  3. 3. Add combined mixture to creamy mixture and stir in evaporated milk.

  4. 4. Line the bottom of an 8 inch cake mould with a lightly greased parchment paper.

  5. 5. Pour in the batter and bake in a preheated oven at 160°C for approximately 40 minutes.

  6. 6. Cool cake for a few minutes before removing from the mould.
